Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."
So I know I'm not the only one who loves ice cream. To tell you the truth, I honestly eat it almost everyday…so God told me to lay it down for a month. For some of you that's not a big deal, but to me ice cream is my coffee, so it was really hard not to go without it. So after school, my siblings asked me if I could take them to Wendy's for a Frosty. I was like, oh yeah…let’s get some ice cream! Of course it wasn’t until we were in the drive through that I remembered I had laid down ice cream. So in my heart I was thinking, look God...no ice cream for me...I don't need it. So I ordered my siblings each a Frosty, and after paying, I pulled up to the second window. As they handed each Frosty to me one at a time, I honestly had to work through the emotions of not having one. Just as I was rolling up my window, the drive through lady knocked on it, and then something amazing happened. She said that she had accidentally made a large strawberry lemonade, and just felt like I might want it. I was in shock, no joke! I said thank you so much, and then drove away. As I pulled out of the parking lot, I said “Thank you God." because he had given me a lemonade for giving up something as small as a Frosty. This story can help me in the long run in life as well, because if I give up something like my future plans to God and say that I trust Him, I believe that He will give me something bigger and better. So now I find it easier to keep trusting God with each little Frosty He tells me to lay down, and I can’t wait to see what kind of large lemonade He has for me in the future!
