I just moved away from home and am now living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have been attending the Victory Conference here, and man is God doing amazing things in Oklahoma! Jentezen Franklin spoke the first night about a book written by Russell Conwell, called Acres of Diamonds. He shared about how right where we are planted, there could be acres of diamonds. I was challenged by what he said because when I was living in Billings, I was constantly dreaming of my future destination and my next season, but God showed me that back in Billings I was sitting on acres of diamonds. Not literal diamonds, but the type of diamonds I am talking about are people, opportunities, relationships, and so much more. I wish I could go back to that season and see the diamonds that I was surrounded by. But for now, I have a new state, a new house, a new people, a new church, and much more! God is challenging me to realize that every person I see has potential and that right where I am, there are acres of diamonds. Perspective is everything, and I now am praying that I have open eyes to see the diamonds everywhere I go! What about you? Do you see people, your home, your relationships, your church as diamonds or burdens? I hope that whatever season you are in, that you would stop and see the value of what is all around you! Ask God to open your eyes, and I am sure you will see acres of diamonds as well!
